Multi-Beam Echosounders

Jumping from single beam to multi-beam is a big change. You see in the picture here, there is a swath made up of over 500 pulses leaving the boat in an arc, bouncing off whatever they hit and returning in those waves of yellow.

This type of transducer gives you resolution that you just can't get with a single beam. Multi-beam sonar brings details out in the high resolution data that can fine tune your understanding of your underwater environment from tailings ponds to lake topography or port terminals.

HQ-400

The HQ-400 is a powerhouse for multibeam echosounders. In integrate sensors for temperature, attitude, and positioning with the sonar data to provide a high-resolution dataset. Its under 3Kg so this compact unit can be used on any number of USV.

The transducer puts out 512 beams (max 1024) with temperature corrected depth and compensation for roll/pitch/yaw with the integrated IMU. PPK offers reliable data and mitigates the effects of poor GNSS reception and water turbulence. No calibration is required and ensures quick deployment and data collection. Find out how to get this device on your new USV today!
